Chaimaa Mellouki Contemporary Artist Founder of Moroccan Cubism

Moroccan Cubism is not a stylistic variation. It is a contemporary cultural reconstruction.

Chaimaa Mellouki is a contemporary artist whose work stands at the intersection of cubist language, Moroccan cultural memory, and contemporary visual structures.

Through Moroccan Cubism, she establishes the foundations of an artistic movement rooted in Amazigh heritage, African rhythms, and symbolic forms reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.

Her practice operates at the crossroads of aesthetics, culture, and conceptual research, where each artwork becomes a living archive of identity and transformation.

Moroccan Cubism

Born from a dialogue between ancestral traditions and contemporary forms, Moroccan Cubism emancipates itself from Western-centric perspectives to propose an endogenous reading of fragmentation, rhythm, and memory.

It does not deconstruct reality ,it recomposes it through cultural, spiritual, and territorial roots.

This movement affirms an autonomous African modernity, conscious of its heritage and oriented toward the future

I am pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition Atlas et Victoria Amazigh Art in Blois, on view from January 20 to February 26, 2026. The exhibition unfolds as a process of sublimation of Amazigh heritage, within a luminous quest where dual cultural identity is transformed into a visual language. As a Moroccan-French artist, Chaimaa Mellouki stands at the crossroads of her two cultural affiliations not as a tension, but as a fertile convergence, where the memory of Morocco engages in dialogue with the aesthetics of France
